Runs That Fall Toward the Lagoon
Kahibah sits in a wooded valley that drains east toward Glenrock Lagoon, roughly 2 km away. Every new toilet joins a sewer run that has to make that fall.
Blocks on the valley side, including the streets running off Ocean View Parade, need carefully graded lines. Waste pools in the pipe instead of clearing on anything left flat.
The grade check. With the pan lifted, we run a level over the sewer line to the boundary.
